LogLegends ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the LogLegends application ("the App").
Information We Collect
When you use LogLegends, we may collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Driving Log Data: Trip dates, times, durations, and whether trips occurred during day or night hours.
- GPS Location Data: When you enable GPS tracking during a drive, we collect location data to record your route. GPS data is only collected while the drive tracking feature is actively in use.
- Device Information: Basic device and browser information for app functionality and troubleshooting.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the App's core functionality (tracking driving hours, generating reports)
- Display your driving progress and statistics
- Generate PDF driving log reports at your request
- Sync your data across devices (Premium feature)
- Improve the App and fix technical issues
- Communicate with you about your account or support requests
GPS and Location Data
LogLegends requests access to your device's location services only when you actively start a drive. We do not track your location in the background or when the App is not in use. GPS route data is stored with your driving log and can be deleted at any time from the App settings.
Data Storage and Security
Your driving data is stored locally on your device by default. If you use the cloud sync feature (Premium), your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase for cloud data storage, which employs enterprise-grade security practices.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- When you explicitly export or share a PDF driving report
- With service providers who help us operate the App (e.g., cloud hosting), who are bound by confidentiality agreements
- If required by law or to protect our legal rights
Children's Privacy
LogLegends is designed to be used by teen drivers (typically ages 15-17) under parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@loglegends.org and we will delete it.
Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access your driving data at any time within the App
- Export your data as a PDF report
- Delete all your driving data from the App settings
- Delete your account by contacting us at support@loglegends.org
- Disable GPS tracking and use the App with manual time logging only
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
